No More Mental Load (“NMML,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use the No More Mental Load mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By using No More Mental Load, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, information created through your use of NMML, and limited technical information necessary to operate the Service.

Account Information

When you create an NMML account, we may collect information such as:

Name
Email address
Account authentication information
Household or family name
Time zone
Account and household identifiers
Account preferences and settings

Passwords and authentication credentials are handled through our authentication provider and are not intended to be visible to NMML personnel in plain text.

Household and Family Information

NMML is designed to help households organize responsibilities, schedules, tasks, and other information. Depending on the features you choose to use, you may provide information about members of your household, including:

Names
Relationships or household roles
Children’s names
Children’s ages, birth dates, grades, or school-related information
Important family dates
Household responsibilities
Family schedules
Appointments
Activities
Routines
Household preferences
Other information you voluntarily enter into the Service

You are responsible for ensuring that you have authority to provide information about other members of your household.

Tasks and Mental Load Information

NMML allows users to enter information they want help remembering, organizing, assigning, or managing.

This may include:

Tasks and to-do items
Mental Load Inbox submissions
Notes
Reminders
Household responsibilities
Bills and recurring obligations
Grocery information
Home maintenance information
Important dates
Weekly planning information

Family schedules
Other information you voluntarily submit

Because NMML allows free-form entries, users may choose to enter information that is personal or sensitive. Please avoid entering information that is not necessary for NMML to provide the requested functionality.

Calendar Information

If you choose to connect a supported calendar service, such as Google Calendar, NMML may access calendar information necessary to provide the calendar features you authorize.

Depending on the permissions you grant, this may include information necessary to view, create, update, or synchronize calendar events.

Calendar access is optional. NMML will only use calendar information for the functionality you authorize and to operate related features of the Service.

You may revoke calendar access through your connected account provider or through available NMML settings.

AI Feature Information

NMML includes artificial intelligence-assisted features, including tools designed to help organize Mental Load Inbox submissions and answer questions within the Service.

When you use an AI-powered feature, information you submit to that feature may be transmitted to an artificial intelligence service provider for processing.

We use this processing to provide requested functionality such as:

Identifying and organizing household tasks
Structuring information submitted by users
Assisting with household planning
Generating responses to user requests
Helping users organize responsibilities and information

Users should not submit highly sensitive information to AI features unless it is necessary for the feature they are using.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information collected through NMML to:

Create and maintain user accounts
Create and manage household profiles
Provide NMML features and functionality
Organize household tasks and responsibilities
Process Mental Load Inbox submissions
Provide AI-assisted features
Send reminders and notifications requested by users
Synchronize authorized calendar information
Manage household members and permissions
Provide customer support
Process and verify purchases and account entitlements
Communicate important service or account information
Improve reliability, security, and functionality
Diagnose technical problems
Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell personal information for money.

3. Household Accounts and Shared Information

NMML is designed around households.

Information entered into a shared household may be visible to other authorized members of that household depending on their account role and permissions.

For example, an adult household member may be able to see shared household tasks, dates, schedules, or other household information.

Users should only invite individuals they trust to their household.

Access by invited adults and child accounts may differ based on account type and permissions.

4. Children’s Information

NMML is designed primarily for use by parents, guardians, and households.

Parents or guardians may choose to create profiles or accounts for children as part of managing their household.

Information about children may include information voluntarily supplied by a parent or guardian, such as a child’s name, age, birthday, grade, responsibilities, schedules, activities, or other household-related information.

Child accounts are intended to operate as part of a parent- or guardian-managed NMML household and may have more limited permissions than adult accounts.

We do not intend to knowingly collect personal information directly from children outside of the parent- or guardian-managed household experience.

If you believe information about a child has been provided to NMML improperly, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, remove the information.

5. Payments

Purchases may be processed through third-party payment providers.

NMML does not intend to directly store full credit or debit card numbers.

Payment providers may collect information necessary to process transactions, prevent fraud, issue refunds, and comply with financial or legal obligations.

NMML may receive transaction-related information such as:

Purchase status
Transaction identifier
Customer identifier
Purchaser email address
Product purchased
Entitlement or access status

We use this information to verify purchases and provide the appropriate NMML access.

6. Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate portions of NMML.

These providers may process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their respective services.

Depending on the features you use, these providers may include services that provide:

Database hosting and authentication
Application infrastructure
Artificial intelligence processing
Automation and integration services
Customer relationship management and communications
Payment processing
Calendar integration
Email delivery
Application development, hosting, and distribution

Our current technology providers may include Supabase, OpenAI, Google, Stripe, GoHighLevel, Make, and Draftbit.

Each provider processes information according to its role, applicable agreements, and its own privacy and security obligations.

We expect service providers that process personal information on our behalf to provide protections consistent with applicable privacy requirements.

7. Google User Data

If you connect a Google service to NMML, we access Google user data only as necessary to provide the functionality you authorize.

NMML’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with applicable Google API Services User Data policies, including applicable Limited Use requirements.

You may revoke NMML’s access to your Google account through your Google account settings.

8. Communications

We may use your contact information to send:

Account verification messages
Password or security-related communications
Service notifications
Household-related notifications you request
Customer support responses
Purchase or access information
Important changes affecting the Service

Where permitted and with any consent required by law, we may also send product updates or marketing communications.

You may unsubscribe from promotional communications using the unsubscribe method provided in those communications. Certain transactional or security-related communications may still be necessary to operate your account.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell your household information to advertisers.

We may disclose information:

To service providers necessary to operate NMML
At your direction or with your consent
To other authorized members of your NMML household
To process or verify transactions
To protect NMML, our users, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity
When required by law, legal process, court order, or valid governmental request
In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law

We do not authorize third-party service providers to use NMML household information for purposes unrelated to providing their services to us except as permitted or required by law.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These measures may include authentication controls, database access controls, encrypted network communications, restricted server-side operations, and access policies designed to limit users to authorized household information.

However, no internet-connected service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should notify us if they believe their account has been compromised.

11. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

Provide the Service
Maintain an active account or household
Fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy
Resolve disputes
Prevent fraud or abuse
Maintain security
Enforce our agreements
Meet legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations

If paid access expires, certain household information may be retained for a limited period so that users may restore their service without rebuilding their household from the beginning.

Expiration or cancellation of paid access is not the same as requesting account deletion.

When an account deletion request is completed, personal information associated with the account will be deleted or de-identified except for information that we are required or permitted to retain for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or regulatory purposes.

Information retained for those purposes will be limited to what is reasonably necessary.

12. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your NMML account and associated personal information.

Account deletion is different from canceling or allowing paid access to expire.

When an eligible account deletion request is completed, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account and request deletion from applicable service providers where appropriate, except for information we are legally permitted or required to retain.

Because NMML uses household accounts, deleting an individual household member may affect information that is shared with other members of the household. We will handle shared household information in a manner designed to protect the rights and continued access of remaining authorized household members where appropriate.

You may initiate an account deletion request through the deletion option provided within NMML or through our Account & Data Deletion page:

If you are unable to access your account, you may use the web-based deletion process.

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before completing a deletion request in order to prevent unauthorized deletion of an account.

13. Your Choices

Depending on the features you use, you may:

Update certain account information
Change household information
Manage notification preferences
Disconnect supported third-party integrations
Revoke Google or calendar permissions
Request deletion of your account
Request assistance concerning your personal information

Some permissions may also be controlled through your device or third-party account settings.

14. Third-Party Services

NMML may contain links to or integrate with third-party services.

This Privacy Policy applies to No More Mental Load and does not govern independent third-party services.

We encourage you to review the privacy practices of services you choose to connect to NMML.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as NMML evolves, new features are introduced, or legal and regulatory requirements change.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we may provide additional notice when appropriate.

Continued use of NMML after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
